Domestic Hot Water
Using the latest vacum tube Solar technology we can provide your home with hot water powered by the sun, even in the winter months. In an average household (3-4 people), one unit is suficient, and we will install the correct size panel for your needs.
As with all our systems we use the latest evacuated tube technology, which is far more efficient than flat bed collector systems. The tube actually absorbs 93% of the sunīs energy that hits the surface, and only 7% is lost through reflection and remission.
Electric photovoltic solar panels have an efficiency of around 7-15%. Where has ours have an overall efficiency of almost 80%.
There are three different systems we currently use Gravity, Pressurised and, Separated.
- GRAVITY SYSTEMS have the water cylinder attached to the panel and heats the water directly.The unit however, only gives you good water flow if possitioned at very high level or by installing a pump into the system.
- PRESSURISED SYSTEMS also have the cylinder attached to the panel but the water is heated via heat pipes in the evacuated tubes.This unit can be possitioned anywhere and the hot water will remain at mains pressure.
- SEPARATED SYSTEMS have as the name suggests the panel and the cylinder located in different positions. i.e. panel on roof, cylinder inside. An indirect circuit of antifreeze type liquid is heated in the panel which is then pumped through the cylinder to heat the water inside.
